India Mark III hand pump conforms to
IS:15500-2004 with uptodate amendments. It is the modified villege level
operation and maintenance(VOLM).version of India Mark II hand pump. Unlike
India Mark II, India Mark III hand pump has open top cylinder (OTC), which
facilitates pulling out of plunger assembly and lower valve without removing
pipe line.
This assists in checking plunge and valve assembly from the cylinder
without pulling out the riser. The GI riser pipes of 65-mm diameter are used
in this pump, which makes it useful in deepwell conditions, up to 50-m
depth.
